SG06 is an area of greenbelt. It currently meets the needs of greenbelt set out in the NPPF:

1) It is currently preventing the sprawl of Leamington Spa northwards
2) It is preventing Leamington Spa connecting to the village of Blackdown and Kenilworth beyond
3) It is safeguarding the countryside from encroachment and gives local greenspace
4) It is used for recreational purposes (walking, dog-walking, running & exercise) by a significant number of the local community.

In addition, the proposed development would significantly increase traffic & pollution, impacting local health. The roads are not equipped for this increase in traffic.
