Shipston needs big improvement in infrastructure now and cannot sustain any further house building. Sewers cannot cope, no large supermarket, no petrol station, no electric car charging, no emergency medical support, public transport is limited, limited school capacity, no 6th Form provision and students who are legally obliged to stay in education until 18 have to pay substantial transport costs to do so. Town is subject to flooding and one site proposed is on floodplain so will make situation worse. Bridges to enter town are narrow and subject to flooding.
