Shipston does not have the infrastructure to accommodate the increase in housing developments, it has had large developments recently built, which the ancient sewage system cannot cope with. It appears that now some areas identified for development are on flood plains. The schools, health centre cannot meet the current demands for them without increasing the demand that new developments will bring. Shipston has poor public transport, limited work opportunities due to the relocation of major employers in the town, which forces people to drive long distances to work. Health, Education and Sewage infrastructure needs to improve before expanding Shipston further.
