Flood mapping has clearly not been adequately considered for SG224 Hockley Heath, both on the east and west side of the A3400. The road floods multiple times per year as existing drainage is inadequate. Hydraulic overload follows, with raw sewage exiting drains into our back garden (i.e. flowing in the wrong direction). This has occurred 5+ times in 18 months. Solihull Municipal Council and Severn Trent are aware of this and have attempted mitigations, but the problem continues. Major drainage upgrades would be necessary if further housing, roads and other hard surfaces are to be built.
