The proposal to build more houses in SG06 runs counter to Green Belt policy to the north of the town. This land (especially the western zone) is essential for the health and well-being of local inhabitants who make daily use of it for leisure and recreation. Moreover, transport infrastructure cannot handle yet more traffic north of the town to Coventry. There are major bottlenecks already at the Rugby Road/Old Milverton Road junction. Further, it risks destroying the land which separates the distinctive identities of Leamington, Kenilworth and Old Milverton.
