While the policy encourages cycling and other sustainable transport modes, it fails to address the lack of secure bike storage once cyclists reach their destinations in Leamington and Warwick. This is the primary reason I, and many others, avoid cycling into these towns. Without safe, accessible bike parking, cycling becomes impractical, discouraging the use of greener transport. For the policy to be effective, it must include robust provisions for secure bike storage facilities at key destinations such as retail centres, employment areas, and leisure facilities to ensure cyclists are supported throughout their journey, not just at the point of departure.
