I strongly oppose the proposed Strategic Growth Location. Wellesbourne has already seen significant development in recent years, placing considerable pressure on local infrastructure, including roads, healthcare, and schools. Further large-scale development in and around the village would irreversibly alter its character, erode green space, and exacerbate congestion and strain on services.

Additionally, SG15 encroaches upon areas of ecological importance, contradicting the principles of sustainable development. The loss of greenfield sites to development would undermine local biodiversity and diminish the village’s distinct rural identity. Rather than expanding Wellesbourne further, development should be directed towards existing urban centres with better infrastructure capacity.
