I strongly object to the proposed settlement of 8,000 homes in Hatton. The local roads and rail services cannot support the additional traffic, leading to gridlock and chaos. The infrastructure, designed for a village, is inadequate for a town, with already stretched healthcare and education facilities. This development threatens the rural appeal of the area, causing economic decline and increased antisocial behaviour. Environmentally, it would destroy farmland and wildlife habitats. While housing is needed, Hatton is unsuitable; alternative sites outside the green belt should be considered.
