The greenway would seem to be an ideal, almost ready made active travel corridor, that just needs an all weather surface and lighting to improve it. Couple that with an e-bike/e-cargo bike hire/shared use scheme and you could potentially keep a lot of car journeys out of Stratford. Especially if the new settlement can supple day-to-day retail needs for food and cafe/working space. It also ties in with the existing Meon Vale development in that area. I would fund the active & public transport in preference to the SWRR that will induce more car usage.
