Developers must be held to account in the delivery of well designed, contextually appropriate housing. A 'copy and paste' approach of cheap and unsustainable housing that could be anywhere in the country must not be accepted. Good design does not have to cost more. IF new settlements are required, they should contribute to the character of South Warwickshire, not detract. There seems to be no care for what is built in current policy and this must be addressed before it is too late. Design principles that encourage creativity and thought must be put in place.
