Wilmcote and surrounding villages and roads are already affected by flooding during rainy periods that are increasing in frequency. Building over the proposed vast greenfield site at Bearley Wilmcote will direct huge quantities of water run-off towards the Wilmcote railway line and will impact flood situations in nearby villages and Straford on Avon. The culverts are not big enough to cater for this under the railway line and you cannot alter the topography of the land.
