Shipston on Stour is overwhelmed by new housing, and lacks the necessary infrastructure to support current residents. Sewage issues persist due to existing developments, and the medical centre is overloaded, with insufficient dental care available. Schools are oversubscribed, and there is inadequate parking for shoppers. The town has no permanent fire service or resident police force. The bridge towards Brailes Road cannot handle increased traffic, risking chaos at the gyratory system. Proposed developments above Furze Hill Road and off Darlingscott Road would exacerbate access, drainage, sewage, and traffic issues.
