The infrastructure in Shipston cannot cope, the drains, sewers, schools, medical centre are all full to overflowing(literally!)
There is a very basic bus service and no train station.
The town is subject to serious flooding as are some of the areas in the plan.
There are minimal employment opportunities - recent arrivals have to drive a considerable distance from the town to find work.
There are only 2 very old, single track bridges to carry traffic over the river to the largest site, through an AONB.
