Congestion on the west side of Warwick occurs on a daily basis, the a46 is congested during the evening rush hour and vehicles turn off the main roads and travel through unsuitable residential areas to avoid the traffic build up. With additional lorrys and other commercial vehicles the existing road structure will not cope.
The roads cannot accommodate more traffic and the additional issues caused by hs2 will compound the damage to our fragile environment. This is another example of urban sprawl which green belt is supposed to prevent.
