The current infrastructure of the town will be unable to cope with more houses. Sewage systems, road surfaces, and the schools are already struggling. There is insufficient parking available, forcing existing residents to use their cars to shop outside of Shipston and it is almost impossible to get a GP appointment due to increased demand from the recent boosting of the population. The proposed new properties will also be on, or close to, an area at risk of flooding. This plan will reduce Shipston from a market town to an urban sprawl that cannot support itself!
