South Warwickshire’s housing needs can be met without building on green belt land. Building on the SG06 location would promote, not reduce car use, because of the distances to public transport. It is not a ‘sustainable’ site. Building on SG06 undermines the principle of biodiverse and environmentally resilient as the area provides habitats for a diverse range of plant and wildlife, including deer, birds and butterflies. It also undermines the principle of a healthy, safe and inclusive South Warwickshire. There are over 2 miles of footpaths crossing the area which contribute to the health and wellbeing of thousands of people.
