I am equally concerned about this building site. I think that building a lot of housing on the edges of town will inevitably lead to more and more gridlock in the town centre. Particularly as weekly food shopping is all down one end of town. It would be good to see some plans for better public transport, more big supermarkets up the north end of town, etc, before welcoming this house building.
