The Stratford area has far too little green space and most routes people can walk are too short, noisy, crowded and polluted. Wheelchair access is usually very restricted. The Greenway is essential for mental and physical health and the environment, and the benefits it brings should be replicated in similar schemes elsewhere - it should not be destroyed. It is the only easily accessed walk of any length and beauty to recommend to visitors to the town. We wish to be regarded as place to visit of global importance and environmental excellence. Without the Greenway we will never achieve that.
