Traffic in this area is already substantial and often gridlocked at rush hour. Any significant increase in housing here would require a complete refresh and expansion of existing road capacity, which would go against the strategic objectives of the plan for more active travel. Construction would also erode the Green Belt separation between Leamington and Kenilworth, which although not as pressured as the Kenilworth-Coventry region is still under long term threat. The site is far from infrastructure in the centre of Leamington and would rely on Lillington, which is one of the most deprived areas in Warwickshire.
