Shipston already struggles with inadequate facilities for its population, including medical, schools, parking, and supermarkets. The area is highly flood-prone, with proposed building sites in flood plains, potentially worsening flooding. Many sites are located in designated Wellbeing zones, which are more in demand. The London Road site, previously used by the Sports Club, should be restored to them, as the club cannot currently serve the Youth Football and Cricket Clubs. There are no local education and employment opportunities for those over 16 within 10 miles, leading to increased daily travel, with a significant environmental impact due to limited bus services.
