I strongly oppose the proposed development of 6,700 houses in Wilmcote, Pathlow and Bearley. Having lived in Wilmcote all my life, I am alarmed that this quiet, historic village will be overwhelmed. The home of Shakespeare’s mother, Mary Arden, will be encroached by this vast belt of houses, making traffic through the village increase. Also, increasing air, noise and light pollution.
Wilmcote, Bearley and Pathlow pride themselves with sitting in a green belt. This development threatens trees, hedges and the wildlife that inhabit this land.
I strongly feel that the A34 and A46 will just not cope with extra housing.
