The character of Hockley Heath would be completely undermined. This is a small village, the reason my husband and I moved here. A development of the proposed size would alter the character of our small village, thereby altering its distinctiveness beyond recognition. Solihull MBC have already determined that only small scale development is appropriate here. A far more sensible decision, taking into account the far wider implications that a larger scale alternative would have on the community, of which there are many! Drainage issues, lack of secondary school provision, poor public transport links, traffic congestion to name but a few.
