Crynodeb o'r Gynrychiolaeth:

I understand more housing is needed. However, the scale of the proposals at Wilmcote, Pathlow and Bearley is excessive and unsustainable.

The proposals would put increased strain on local communities through increased traffic, pollution, and flooding. Public transport is limited. Development would put pressure on GP surgeries, schools, colleges, employment, utilities, sewerage, and water supply. Village roads would be congested and existing gridlock would be worsened in Stratford-upon-Avon, Henley-in-Arden, the A3400 and the A46. Tourism would suffer due to the amount of time spent by visitors in traffic jams and locating parking.

Unnecessary Green Belt development will create urban sprawl and destroy wildlife corridors. Flood risk in villages and Stratford-upon-Avon is increasing due to climate change and will be worsened by increased surface water run-off. Brownfield sites such as Timothy's Bridge Road should be utilised before considering Green Belt. Oroposed urbanisation will have devastating impacts on Mary Arden's Farm and the surrounding area due to damage to foundations from traffic vibration, and increased flooding risk. The area would become less attractive to tourism as a housing estate and it will become harder for tourists and locals to access the area due to more cars on the road.
