It is not necessary to remove greenbelt land in North Leamington for the purposes of the South Warwickshire local plan, as the local plan's sustainability appraisal demonstrates that it is possible to meet housing demands without using green belt land. SG06 is not a sustainable location as defined within the plan, as the station and other key services are located well over 30 minutes walk from most of the site. The farmland within SG06 is high quality agricultural land that makes an important contribution to food supply security within the region. These similar proposals have already been rejected once (2017)
