Shipston does not have the infrastructure, in terms of employment, transport, educational, or health facilities to support development on this scale. The town has already doubled in size in the past 10 years and is now creaking at the seams. It is an historic market town and should not be expected to inherit the mantle of being the next Redditch or Corby. No one voted for that. The recent green belt developments are intrusive and ugly. Decisions are now being made for short term political purposes and local democracy seemingly has no voice. Enough!
