This is open Green Belt land with many public footpaths, extensively used by public for recreation and exercise; valuable habitat for wildlife. Also prime agricultural land growing cereals.
Surveys show housing needs in Warwickshire can be more than met without building in SG06. Public transport for work, schools etc. not easily accessed and the only main road could not carry increased traffic.
SG06 separates Leamington and Kenilworth; once built on, tendency to agree further building means two towns would merge, and lose character, against purposes of Green Belt.
Landscape in nearby area has already suffered considerable destruction from HS2 works.
