Shipston offers little employment, and there is no reason to expect more. It has no railway station. So any new houses will create more road traffic in the heart of the town and around it. But the capacity and quality of the roads are inadequate for such growth. So there will be loss of pedestrians from the town centre, more carbon emissions, and more particulate air pollution.

Shipston already floods, and covering more of the local area with houses and roads will make this worse.

The quality of life in Shipston will deteriorate.
