I agree that areas with the lowest flood risk should be prioritised and changing greenfield into urban areas increases strain on existing infrastructure.
A local development in Stratford-upon-Avon hasn't been implemented properly and surface water flooding occurs in unsuitable areas.
The cumulative effect of numerous developments has caused flooding to residential areas which date back 100+ years with little flooding impact until now.
All new developments should include swales, SuDS, water recycling within the site before discharging into the wider services.
