Shipston is a small town with limited amenities and services, public transport, medical centre provision and schools for the existing population. Many of the proposed sites are on land that is in areas of AONB, Areas of restraint, part of Feldon National Character area.
Flooding is an increasing problem & the prospect of more homes covering green sites with tarmac and hard standings is worrying. Shipston sits in a dip with single track bridges, one way systems and many existing dwellings that already flood regularly.
The current sewerage system is also already over-capacity.
