Crynodeb o'r Gynrychiolaeth:

Conclusion: SG24 can not proceed as a strategic growth location in its current form
SG24 inclusion as a strategic growth centre should NOT proceed in its current form within the South Warwickshire Local Plan. We recognise that Hockley Heath has some facilities and can take on a proportionate level of growth, however, there is a clear divergence between Solihull MBC and South Warwickshire on what sustainable development for Hockley Heath looks like. A focussed development to the east of Hockley Heath that provides additional much needed infrastructure would appear to be the most pragmatic solution to any future development adjacent to the village.

The joint councils will now need to undertake a very careful assessment of the sustainability of the 24 growth areas in releasing land for development. This is across all three pillars of sustainability and in response to the stated Strategic Objectives of the SWLP that includes putting development in locations which have best access to sustainable modes of travel. It is now for the councils to clearly articulate and evidence the final choices for strategic growth for the next stage of consultation (Regulation 19) making a balanced judgement that respects the need to focus the vast majority of development principally in Priority Areas 1 & 2.
