This area is not being appropriately assessed, is mostly in Green Belt and should not be considered as part of the Strategic Growth Plan. The current weighting of 6% appears very low and not an effective well performing area of Green Belt.
This area comprises of good quality agricultural land and the value this plays should play a bigger part in the assessment. The wider economic issues means we should not be removing land which we use to grow our food locally. Avoiding this category of land for housing development is advised in the National Planning Framework.
