New settlements are preferable to adding to oversubscribed existing towns and congested roadways. They are driven by strategic opportunities not arbitrary land availability and do not add to the urban sprawl and pressures in existing infrastructures. Such sites do not impact greenbelt land which should be always preserved. Furthermore, it does not add to the urban sprawl or congestion of Stratford upon Avon. With excellent road connections and the potential for rail connection with the rail innovation centre connecting to the Honeybourne line, job opportunities and quality of life are greatly enhanced.
