This area is often used for the local residents as well as people from further afield, to walk and enjoy the countryside - particularly the village of Old Milverton and the walks to the river, the mill and the Abbey as well as the walk to Milverton itself.
This area is also home to many birds and other species, many of these are in danger of extinction, such as Skylarks, Bats, Newts, many dragonflies, foxes, birds of prey, badgers, hedgehogs etc. The proximity to the water and that it is fairly undisturbed.makes it particularly valuable for these animals.
