Shipston is lacking in the transport infrastructure to cope with these developments, public transport is poor and roads are already overcrowded. There are no proposed plans for increasing public services, such as schools, doctors surgeries or supermarkets, these are currently in need of expansion, even before these new developments. Removing the recycling centre would mean travelling longer distances to dispose of rubbish, which is not good for the environment. Building houses on the current flood plain would potentially cause more flooding problems for the town.
