I strongly object to the proposed SG18 development at Clopton House Meadow due to its harmful impact on the Green Belt, landscape, heritage, ecology, flood risk, air quality, and traffic congestion. The site plays a crucial role in preventing urban sprawl, maintaining the separation of settlements, and preserving Stratford-upon-Avon’s historic character. Development would irreversibly damage the countryside, degrade protected landscapes, disrupt local wildlife, and worsen flooding. Increased traffic would overwhelm already congested roads, while alternative non-Green Belt sites are available. This proposal contradicts national planning policies and should be rejected to protect Stratford’s environment and community interests.
