Principles are right but the technical standard used for dwellings to comply with is an appalling piece of work that the government should be ashamed of. It encourages shoe box style homes. We need quality housing / apartments that are of a livable standard and most importantly right size. Those minimum sizes described should be doubled at the very least. This is a very embarrassing piece of work and the County Councils should demand it to be re-written. Fundamentally letting the public down and allowing developers to build small crammed spaces which over long term is not good for health.
