New settlements are better than just adding to oversubscribed existing towns with their congested roadways and facilities. New settlements are driven by strategic opportunities and not arbitrary land availability. They do not add to the urban sprawl and pressures on existing infrastructures. Such sites do not impact greenbelt land which should be always preserved. Furthermore, it does not add to the urban sprawl or congestion of Stratford upon Avon. Job opportunities and quality of life are greatly enhanced with excellent road connections and the potential for rail connection with the rail innovation centre connecting to the Honeybourne line.
