Water would run downhill off a new development into lower-lying areas of Cubbington, marked on your interactive map as flooding and surface run off areas. There are many natural springs locally.
This green belt farmland needs preserving for food-growing, as wildlife habitat and for recreation and access to nature on the footpaths for both Lillington and Cubbington communities. It naturally separates Lillington and Cubbington and needs to remain rural.
Significant new infrastructure would needed.
Brownfield and non-green belt areas should be used and do exist in the area.
