New builds must always be in areas of lowest flood risk. Turning green field into urban areas increases flood risk. I have supplied photos of existing flooding in residential land adjacent to the Clopton Corner part of SG18. Brown field land will already have facilities in place for excess water management, drainage and reduction of flood risk. Brown field land should be prioritised over greenfield and farmland for development.
