The sites that are east of the river are impractical due to narrow bridges, single track roads through villages that would cause congestion. These sites are also flood plain and could cause problems for existing properties. There is a lack of infrastructure (schools, doctors etc at capacity) that can’t meet the existing requirements let alone more people.
