I have lived in Leamington since 1972 and served as a police officer until 1997. I've witnessed significant changes in traffic conditions and a decline in town centre shopping, particularly with the rise of the Shires. Accessing the main shopping area has become difficult due to inadequate parking and crossings. Since 1972, I believe Leamington has contributed excessively to housing development. I think there should be greater focus on improving traffic flow and revitalising the town centre to attract businesses back, as I am concerned about the quality of life for current and future residents.
