I am writing to express my strong opposition to the proposed housing development of 8,500 houses in Hatton. Having lived here for nearly 30 years, I chose this area for its beautiful rural surroundings and the quality of life it offers. This development would result in unacceptable noise, loss of privacy, and irreversible damage to vital green spaces. It would transform our rural landscape into a busy urban area, straining local infrastructure and wildlife. I believe Hatton should remain a rural community, with the green belt protected from overdevelopment.
