I formally object to the proposed development at Hockley Heath (SG24) due to its severe negative impacts. The area already faces flooding and drainage issues, and the development would worsen this. It is situated in the Green Belt, contradicting planning policies. The proposal for over 5,000 houses conflicts with Solihull MBC’s local plan, which permits only small-scale developments. Increased traffic would heighten congestion and safety risks. It would also harm wildlife, community wellbeing, and the village’s character, while overstretching inadequate infrastructure. I urge the planning department to reject this.
