I have lived in North Leamington for over 50 years and believe the development plan should exclude Green Belt Land for several reasons. The existing strategic plan can accommodate enough homes without encroaching on this land. Building on Green Belt is unlawful if other capacity exists. Emissions targets cannot be met and net increases will occur. Local transport infrastructure is inadequate, exacerbating traffic congestion. Development would harm local wildlife habitats and the footpath network, which is vital for community leisure and mental health. Finally, previous reports advocating for Green Belt conservation are being disregarded without justification.
