The resulting traffic increase through Kenilworth and Leek Wootton would be unmanageable. Leek Wootton’s Woodcote Lane junction is unsuitable for increased traffic flow which would be seen on the lane and Warwick Road. Pedestrian crossing here is already dangerous. Additionally traffic into Kenilworth is already congested when following Warwick Road. There is a future distinct possibility that this development would lead to Leek Wootton losing its distinct village feel with housing between the village and Kenilworth become closer. Finally Kenilworth does not have the large grocery shopping provision that would be needed again increasing traffic to Warwick via Leek Wootton.
