I am not in favour of the plan to build 6700 new houses on both sides of Featherbed Lane. The character of the village with Shakespeare’s mother’s house will be changed completely. The roads are inadequate and will be dangerous for children, families, residents and tourists to use. Flooding will be more likely and the local infrastructure cannot support this size of development. Even the Birmingham Road and A46, which has several dangerous junctions, will not be safe with all the additional traffic. The number should be reduced to about 500 houses and only on one side of Featherbed Lane.
