Object to safeguarding for reinstatement of railway. Reports over years have indicated this is not a feasible infrastructure solution. Costs (particularly financial) are too great and the benefits insufficient. There are cheaper solutions - some mentioned in SWLP such as the Vectos and Jacobs reports. I particularly commend the Jacobs report where it seeks improving the existing cycle route and changing it to run fully along old railway under Alcester Road and to the station. This links the schools to North Stratford and improves routes to the town centre. Time to remove the safeguarding of the old railway.
