Proposals to build here have previously been rejected. The area's housing needs can be met without building on greenbelt land. SG06 is not a sustainable location and would promote car use to amenities on the south of town stressing the road network. This area fulfils the purposes of greenbelt land and the greenbelt review which informed the plan is flawed and further analysis of the contribution of SG06 is required. This is agricultural land and makes an important contribution to sustainability and food security. Development here would undermine the "healthy, safe and inclusive" and "biodiverse and environmentally resilient" principles.
