I strongly object to the proposal for 1600 new houses in Shipston. The site is unsuitable due to increased traffic over the bridge, which will endanger pedestrians and cars. Quiet roads towards Honington will become busy cut-throughs. The development is also near flood-prone areas, worsening existing drainage issues. Wildlife and valuable trees will be harmed, and the loss of the tip and recycling centre will affect the town. Our medical infrastructure cannot handle more demand, and the limited supermarket and parking will negatively impact the town’s character and economy.
