I oppose the proposed SG24 development around Hockley Heath, where I have lived my entire life. This development risks exacerbating flooding issues along Stratford Road and increasing traffic chaos. The village's small school cannot accommodate the projected number of new children, and secondary school placements are already limited. Local amenities are insufficient, which would burden nearby surgeries. Additionally, the development threatens our green belt and wildlife. The increased population could strain Dorridge’s resources, while the financial burden may fall on Solihull council. I urge careful consideration of these factors before deciding.
